Timer from Class Tools - Need help with classroom management, or just want the kids to see how much time is left on a particular project? Use a countdown clock and project it on the board. Want to use an online stopwatch? Here's a site Custom Countdown that lets you set your own custom times and sounds. Personally, I'm going to try it with book checkout times. I can never get the kids to finish up on time, maybe this will help!
MyCreate is super fun and very kid friendly. It's an iPad app made by HUE Animation, so far there is no android version, but there is a Windows desktop version. Quickly create very simple animated video. I created the Library promo below on a Friday afternoon when I should have been cleaning the house. Oh well, this was definitely more fun. My thanks go out to Create & Collaborate for hooking me up with this cool tool! At $4.99 it is a great deal! Vodio is my new favorite app! I'm a news junkie and I love setting up my i-Pad to play while I'm cooking, or exercising, or painting... You get the idea. Vodio allows you to choose your favorite categories, like News, Entertainment, Sports, Science, Comedy, Tech, Travel, and more... Then the app surfs the web for you, bringing back up-to-the-minute video from all over the web. You can even share your favorites on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. Available for Apple products and androids. And best yet, it's FREE! The app itself is beautiful, as you can see from my screenshot. You just swipe to rotate between categories. No glitches that I've come across. Video streams seamlessly and switches easily from one source to the next. Check this one out! Mrs. Castro Thrilled with my new purchase and I just want to share. Chromecast is inexpensive and plugs into the HDMI and a USB media port on your TV. With a simple app download, this device allows multiple users to cast to your television from computer, iPad, phone, etc. My son is loving his, as he and a roomful of friends cast funny videos from their phones to his television to share. Imagine the possibilities in the classroom, as students cast from their Chromebooks to a large TV, sharing resources from the Internet, while you teach evaluating websites. Now if only I had an HD TV at school....... Mrs. Castro Bet you're wondering where I got all the cool photos for the banners at the top of each page.... I have to give credit to my talented daughter, who is a fantastic photographer. Want to see more of her pics? Check out her website. Keri Castro Wink, nudge, great prices if you want to buy anything. |
